Funeral Partners are seeking a Web Content Coordinator to join a busy small marketing team. The role will report to the Brand Marketing Manager and will be involved in the production of new websites, publishing of website, email and social media content and managing the web presence for Funeral Partners, Choice Funeral Plans and Funeral Partners Funeral Directors.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised candidate, with at least a year’s experience working in a similar role.

Overall Purpose

The Web Content Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and updating website content on our internal, corporate and customer facing websites to ensure it is accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand and accessibility standards. This role supports the delivery of high-quality digital experiences by assisting with web page creation, content publishing, and basic web tasks. With a focus on brand customer experience across all platforms in branch and online.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Work alongside Web Content Manager & Divisional Marketing Managers to Edit, publish, and maintain website content using the content management system (CMS)
  • Publish and write relevant content to external platforms such as Google Business, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Support the creation of new websites, web pages and landing pages using templates and basic HTML/CSS
  • Ensure content follows brand guidelines, tone of voice, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG)
  • Assist in managing website assets, such as images, videos, and downloadable documents
  • Help test and QA website content for functionality, accuracy, and responsiveness
  • Sending and reporting on customer engagement using Email Marketing and Customer Survey platforms
  • Responding to and reporting on Customer Reviews via Trustpilot, Google Business, Facebook and Muchloved.
  • Management of Internal Sharepoint intranet, working with internal stakeholders to ensure content is relevant and up to date
  • Work with our project management tools to plan, track and report on projects and tasks, receiving and interpreting local marketing requests, briefing external suppliers and coordinating delivery of assets.
  • Ensure that services including funeral pre-need plans and other products are offered to clients in line with the applicable regulations and guidelines

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • At least 1 years marketing experience in a similar role
  • Basic understanding of content management systems (Wordpress)
  • Strong copy writing skills and experience with content development
  • Experience with using Creative Suite or other image editing software
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics or other Web Analytics tools
  • Understanding of basic SEO principles
  • Analytical and detail oriented, with strong organisation skills and independent workload management
  • Professional and Empathetic, able to recognise the sensitivities of the funeral industry and uphold our reputation
  • A degree or qualification in digital media, web design, marketing or a related field would be beneficial

This is a hybrid role working 2 days in the Woking office or one of our other locations as required and 3 days from home.
